Terms of Use
These Terms govern the use of the Signs of Ifá application (hereinafter, «the application»). By downloading, registering, or using it, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
0. Who we are
Signos de Ifá is a digital service owned by IREOMA, with tax ID (CIF) B22854913 and address, for notification purposes, at Calle Téllez 22, 4A, 28007 Madrid. You can contact us at hola@signosifa.com.
1. Purpose
The application is a work of consultation and study of a cultural and religious nature about the literary corpus of Ifá (the 256 Odù): texts, patakíes, prayers, proverbs, analysis, advice, and interpretation tools.
2. License of use
The user is granted a personal, limited, revocable, and non-transferable license to use the application and its content for personal and non-commercial purposes. No ownership rights to the content are transferred.
3. Nature of the content (important notice)
The content has a cultural, educational, and study purpose. It does not replace consultation with a babalawo or any traditional ceremony, and does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you have any health, legal, or financial problem, consult a qualified professional. The decisions you make based on the content are your sole responsibility.
Documentary and ancestral nature. The texts in the application —including works (obras), ebó, ceremonies, rites, and any reference to offerings or sacrifices— are ethnographic documentation and cultural heritage of a religious tradition transmitted orally over centuries (Ifá is inscribed by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity). They are collected and presented solely for documentary, cultural, and study purposes, to preserve and understand that knowledge.
The author and the application do not incite, promote, encourage, or instruct the practical performance of any rite, offering, or sacrifice, nor do they provide operational instructions for carrying them out. The application describes and documents a tradition; it is not a manual of execution. In particular, the Akín Ifá assistant does not indicate or explain how to perform animal sacrifices.
Any ritual practice is the sole and personal responsibility of whoever decides to perform it, corresponds solely to a duly initiated priest (babalawo) and in person, and is subject to the laws in force in each country, including animal protection and welfare regulations. The user undertakes not to carry out any practice that violates applicable law.
The service is intended for adults. The content does not constitute medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and we do not guarantee results of any kind.
